Sovereign Individual

Reading my blog felt like watching all the pieces connect. It's refusing to outsource my decisions to institutions or narratives that don't serve me.

I almost forgot what it felt like to build something for myself.

Been years since I shipped a product just because I wanted to. Now every day is the same beautiful loop: new feature ideas, bug fixes, updates, eat my own dog food and over. It feels different when nobody’s paying you to do it.

Not trying to monetize. Not chasing growth metrics. Just carving out a quiet corner of the internet that’s actually mine.

@BullishDumpling left me a warming message last night that hit me hard.

Reading my blog felt like watching all the pieces connect. The projects I believed in, the relationships I walked away from, the life choices that seemed random to everyone else. It’s refusing to outsource my decisions to institutions or narratives that don’t serve me.

She called it being a Sovereign Individual.

That’s what building in public actually means. It’s not about the audience or the validation. It’s about proving to yourself that you can create the life you want instead of accepting the one handed to you.

Life’s meaning isn’t something you find.

It’s something you create by actually living.

Cheers.
